Mother's Day Giveaway!!

Updated: 5/5/2010-comments are closed, winners will be announced soon! Thanks!

I'm so excited-giddy really-about this awesome little giveaway I have going. The big day-Mother's Day-is Sunday, May 9!

I have been wanting to share the gift of photography and I thought what better way then to give a gift session away in time for Mother's Day. So, whether you are a mom and are wanting some portraits with your family OR you want to give the gift of portraits to a mom in your life, here is your chance.

PLUS-this is the really cool part-I have joined with some other local businesswomen to offer some additional items in the giveaway. And there are actually two gift packages!!

So, what do you do you ask to get in on this fun giveaway?! Well, all you have to do is leave a comment here about why you love being a mom OR if you're not a mom (ladies, tell your husbands they can enter too), you can tell what you love most about the favorite mom in your life. In addition, you can become a fan of MMPD on Facebook and leave a comment there to receive a second entry. (If you're already a fan, just leave a comment). You can have up to two entries per person. Entries will close at 11:59 p.m. May 4, 2010. The two winners will be chosen by random drawing and announced May 5. Gift packages will be delivered in time for the special day. Each package includes a complimentary photography session plus $25 print credit from Maggie Malson Photography & Design. Also, thank you to these fabulous women who also donated to the gift packages!

This really made me stop and think of the blessings a Mom has everyday! I love being a Mom because it makes me feel truly alive and loving what God has given us: great kids and a great country life. Your photos remind me of that!

As far back as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a mother. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that God would bless me the way he has. I have 5 beautiful children on earth and 3 in heaven. And now I am even more blessed to add one more to my nest when my oldest daughter, Katie, marries Carl on June 26th. I feel so honored that he already calls me mom.

Motherhood is it for me. It doesn't get any better than that!!! (except for maybe grandchildren) :-)

Nothing can ever come close to meaning the same thing to me as when I first heard the sweet little voice of my daughter say "mommy!" Except when my next daughter said it to me as well. :) It is an amazing blessing to be called a mother! I remember when they handed my first beautiful baby girl to me, and I looked up at my husband and uttered "I can't believe she is really ours..." It is so unbelievably awesome that God entrusts these bundles of joy unto us, because at times I feel so unworthy! But, I couldn't ask for a more abundant blessing!

Daily I am blessed with the presence of my mom, I love her to death and do not know what I would do without her! She is such a wonderful person and is so full of enthusiasm for the things I share with her. She is the kindest woman I know! Mother's Day just is another reminder of how blessed I am to have a thoughtful and caring mom! ~Kandice D.

I know that everyone says this, but my mom, Tina Turpin really is the best! Being a mother is what she does. And she loves it. She puts up with us when we're hard to handle and she's always there for us. Always. I love that I can always talk to her about anything, whether it's friend problems, boys, stress about school, just anything. Not only is she my mother, but she's one of my best friends. I wouldn't trade her for the world. I love my mom and she is definitely the best!

I am a very new mom and already I feel more blessings then I could ever imagine. It's hard to describe this new kind of love I feel, and it's amazing how something so small can bring so much joy to others! I love being a mom and I especially love seeing my family welcome him and love him. It's amazing!

Mothers.
You can't go to school to become one, and yet they have priceless knowledge and experience. My mom is a domestic engineer, psychologist, counselor, accountant, detective, forensic scientist(finding out who stole the cookies), nurse, doctor, teacher, wife, friend, intercessor, and someone whom I love very, very much. You can't find another person with as much wisdom and simplicity as a mother, and you'll never find a voice to sing you to sleep quite like that of her voice, or a loving embrace that of the woman whom gave you life.
This is my mother.

Nothing in life could offer a greater sense of purpose and direction than "training up a child in the way he should go". Not a day goes by that I don't look at my girls in amazement that they belong to me and I belong to them. They each bring such blessings to my life! I love being their mother!
