2nd Annual Mother's Day Giveaway ~ Idaho Lifestyle Portrait Photographer

UPDATE: Entries are now closed. Thanks for all the participants. Winner will be selected by random drawing and announced once notified.

It's the 2nd Annual Mother's Day Giveaway from Maggie Malson Photography!
I'm so excited to be partnering with some other really great local business women this year
to offer a fabulous package.

Who's there to kiss the boo-boos, dispense hugs at all hours of the day, run to and from activities, put nutritious meals on the table, help with homework, take care of the home, be a shoulder to cry on or someone to laugh with? It's Mom! And Mom deserves a great big Thank You!

Whether you are a mom, a mother-figure to others, or have a favorite mom in your life (your own mother, a friend, aunt, grandma or other mother), then this giveaway is for you!

What You Win:
Let's face it. Moms are usually the ones on the backside of the camera, trying to preserve all life's moments. Let's get mom in front of the camera with her family laughing, hugging, enjoying family time! Winner will receive a complimentary lifestyle portrait session with Maggie Malson Photography. Session also includes $100 print credit. Session will take place in the fall of 2011 and is valued at $250. (Photographer will travel up to 100 miles from Parma, Idaho, with no additional travel expenses.)

And to give mom a chance to relax with friends, Heather Madden of Mary Kay has donated a  "Panorama of Pampering" Girls Night Out for Mom and up to four friends! This evening will including a pampering pedicure, hand treatment, facial, mineral cosmetics, refreshments and a $40 shopping spree!!

What mom doesn't love a bit of sparkle and shine? Jennifer Morgan of Jewels by Park Lane is offering a jewelry package with pendant and earrings, valued at $120.

Finally, what Mom doesn't want her home to filled with love and some wonderful scents? Crystal Herzberg with Scentsy has donated a plug-in warmer and Scentsy Bars to the lucky winner.

  1. I love being a MOM because it's the greatest thing ever. I LOVE my kids. I LOVE kissing them and feeding them, reading to them, praying with them, dressing them, putting bandaids on their boo-boos, laughing and playing with them, giving them baths, and telling them how wonderful they are. I love teaching them and them teaching me. I learn so much from being a mom. It is the best job on earth!! Dayna Baldwin

  5. The BEST part of being a Mom is hugs from my 4 beautiful kids! The next best is having someone else complement my kids-it makes me feel successful at the most important job I will ever have! I love having my daughters share their secrets with me. I love it when my sons open the door for me- without me asking. I love teaching them new things, making them goodies, cuddling on the couch, and just about anything that puts a smile on their face! I even love it when they get into mischief but they're just so cute you can't help but laugh. I agree that I have the best job ever!

  13. I love being a mom period! I have the GREATEST job ever! I have two little girls with another baby on the way in October. They have taught me how to be a better person in so many ways and have taught me how fun life is and can be through the eyes of a child again. I love to teach them and of course play pretend and dressup. Life is bitter sweet because of my children.

  19. When God blessed me with my 8 children (5 on earth and 3 in heaven) I thought my heart was as full as it could be. Then my oldest daughter, Katie, told us she was going to be married, and I made room for one more. And just when I thought I was full to capacity, Katie announced that I was going to be a grandmother. That made my heart grow even bigger! And finally, when I figured it was about as full as could be again, my daughter, Chelsea, announces her engagement. So, once again, I have made room for yet another one to love. I feel so loved and so blessed that I can't help but smile. And I thank God everyday for the many ways He has made my heart overflow. It doesn't get any better than this!!!

  22. My mom rocks. She really does. Her support is something I really cherish. She's always been there for me. Always. Even when I do something really dumb. Of course she tells me I was dumb to do whatever it was I did, but she loves me anyways. Having her around to help out with my upcoming wedding is just awesome too! I love that she's so excited for me. Sadly, not every mom is that way. But I am blessed to say that my mom is. Her support and encouragement in this time of my life and just all the time is just wonderful to have.

  24. I have four kiddos...all born preemies and all had their own complications. Through it all God not only blessed us with them, but honored me as a mother to be blessed with each four of these beautiful little angels....I love waking up to them waking me up every morning, every dinner we cook together in the kitchen, every look they give me...even when its a frown. I love being a mom and watching my best friend (Brett) feel the same rewards through being their dad! I love my little family!!!

  29. I like the new "scent buddies" product that Scentsy has. I'm thinking about getting one for my grandbaby due in June. It's a great, but subtle way to get a fragrance into a child's room.

  30. Being a mom is a wonderful and challenging all as the same time. The rewards you receive are price less and amazing. I am grateful that I have the blessing to be a mom and pray each day that I will be the mother the Lord and my kid needs me to be.
    Thanks

  33. As our oldest daughter, Shane, gets ready to graduate, it's time to be reflective of the last 18 years. When I first became a Mom, I had no idea the amount & quality of blessings each day would bring. The blessings multiplied with Dana & Sam. Being a Mom means slowing down to truly recognize and love these blessings. . .that's when life is perfect!

  39. The gift of motherhood is awesome!!! Without mothers where would we be? People time and time again, especially in today's world, devalue motherhood as a worthwhile vocation.
I think that women need to revisit that idea and come to realize that is really mothers that have the greatest impact on the world and affect the most change! Yes, it is the 'Mother' who not only selflessly cooperates with God in his Divine plan but forms Her children through her love for God. It is these same children that will shape the world of the future.
So the next time you think of motherhood as a drab mundane task, take another look and think globally!!!

  40. Yes,think globally!!!
Thank you God for placing so many beautiful and loving women in my life. Thank you for giving us your Mother, especially during these turbulent times. Thank you for my earthly Mother who lovingly and patiently prayed me into the man that I am today. Thank you for my beautiful wife Tina, the mother of our children and to whom I am eternally grateful. Thank you God for mothers who most eloquently image your life giving and loving nature!

  41. Some of the things I love most about being a mom is how my boys have helped me to learn to love life, to take risks. I also love the unexpected hugs, high-fives, daffodils picked from my yard, good-bye waves from the school bus, and their compassion for others. And the time my youngest asked me, "Mom, why do you take such good care of me when I'm sick?" :)

  42. The mom I most admire this Mother's Day is Leila, the mother of my 5-month-old grandson. She and my son "met" online and even though they lived in different parts of the county, communicated online, via texts, and over the phone for almost 2 years. During spring break of 2010, my son decided he just had to meet this amazing young lady. Well, it must have been a good meeting ...
We can't choose a partner for our children, and we moms of sons can't choose a mother for our grandchildren. But, I have to tell you, Brendon was right. Leila's amazing. This young couple found themselves in an unusual situation, but they have really risen to the occasion. They are so good to one another, and to their baby.
Leila is a wonderful mother. She is anxious to learn about infant care, and early childhood development. She works to buy Ryder things -- I've never seen her buy anything for herself. And, she works to put herself through school because she knows how important this is to their little family. And, I think she wants to be the kind of person Ryder can be proud of.
As my babies grew, I thought, "no one tells a new mom that you'll fall more in love with them every day." It's been fun watching the bond between Leila and Ryder grow. She adores him and he loves his Momma, and what's not to love?
Happy Mother's Day, Leila! Ryder is a lucky little man -- and so is my son. (I feel pretty lucky, too!) - KMC

  44. Being a mom is my official job, I just do everything else on the side for fun. What other "job" gives you so much responsibility, freedom, joy, heartache, and of course returned love and ultimate gratification. I don't always do it right, but I always attempt to have the best intentions. My ultimate thank you will be when my 3 boys are grown, and they display the characteristics of hard-word, caring, compassion and know the importance of family tradition. Then I have succeeded at this job.
